It's time for our 33rd Annual Tournament
April 1 - 4, 2010





	January Update... Here it is coming up to the end of January. We have now gone over 200 teams for the 2010 SEDMHA Tournament. We are still accepting teams for this year’s tournament. Female - The Female committee has been working hard to attract teams and now have a complement of 30 teams registered. This will be the first year that SEDMHA can offer an Atom female division. There will also be A and AA divisions at both Peewee and Bantam. We are still registering all Female teams and are especially interested in Midget teams. Boys - The boys divisions are filling out nicely with teams registered from Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and our host Nova Scotia. Remember, we will accommodate as many teams as we have ice time for in our 18 arenas and will continue to accept teams until the end of February. We are especially interested in any AAA teams but all are welcome. Please note that any team qualifying for Atlantic Championships can receive a full refund at any time. Register Now. Team Categorization - Now is the time to begin categorizing teams and seeding them based on their season record to date. To assist in this matter we ask all teams from outside the Halifax Regional Municipality to submit a Standings Form. You can find this form by logging into the site and clicking on the Standings Form in the right hand column by your team listing. Please complete the form and submit the information. Championship Banners - This year we are introducing a change for all Odyssey and Accord Championship banners. Teams will now have the option to include the team photo on the banner. By submitting an official team photo or a photo taken after your team victory the SEDMHA Tournament will reproduce this photo on the banner and ship it to the winning team. Details of the process will be sent to all teams at later date.





	2010 HONDA SEDMHA International Minor Hockey Tournament Invitation 33nd ANNUAL TOURNAMENT The 2010 Tournament will run from Thursday, April 1, through Sunday April 4 Registration Fees have been set at $850.00 CDN for Peewee AAA, Bantam AAA and Midget AAA teams and $800.00 for all other teams Registration cut-off is February 15, 2010 or 250 confirmed teams LEVELS & CATEGORIES We offer competition at Atom (9 & 10), Peewee (11 &12), Bantam (13 & 14) and Midget (15 - 17 inclusive) levels. All ages are as of December 31, 2009. Categories include "AAA", "AA", "A", "B" - AAA teams are the top teams in each level, AA are second best teams, A are third best in a level and B Teams represent the lowest skill level competitive teams These classifications are based on the Nova Scotia rating system which may vary from your Province or State TEAM ROSTERS & TRAVEL PERMITS ONLY Registered Competitive teams will be accepted at the SEDMHA Tournament A Provincial or State "Team" registration form must accompany your application TRAVEL PERMITS: Must be received by February 28, 2010 DIVISIONS & TEAM CLASSIFICATION Each category (AAA/AA/A/B) is broken into three divisions during play on Thursday and Friday: – Odyssey consists of the stronger teams – Accord the middle teams – Civic has the weaker teams GAMES All teams are guaranteed three games. In fact, if you win your third game you will play a fourth game even with two losses All games in the Peewee AAA, Bantam AAA and Midget AAA divisions will be 15 minute stop time periods
